Welcome to Stupid Comment Theater!

Welcome to Stupid Comment Theater!

And now it’s time for “Stupid Things Said By Republicans!”
1.  Maybe He Meant “Honest Engine”?
You would think an African American would be a bit more careful in the use of racial slurs.  Not GOP Chairman Mikey Steele!  He was on the Hannity show explaining why the GOP does NOT need to be more moderate when [...]

CNN Web Producer Watches Gingrich on TV, Files Report

CNN Web Producer Watches Gingrich on TV, Files Report

I know, I know, it seems like I’m piling on CNN’s Political Ticker site today…  But really!
Look at this report of Newt Gingrich, on Bill O’Reilly’s show yesterday, saying Obama cares more about terrorist rights than he does those of Americans.
From my vantage point, it seems like whoever wrote this report watched an episode of “The [...]

Remember THIS Teabagging Moron?

Remember THIS Teabagging Moron?

Folks who have been following this blog over the past year will likely remember something I wrote about last February.  Gail and I took a weekend visit to DC over Valentines Day.  It was the first time I actually fell and hurt myself.
Let’s see if I can’t find the original blog entry…
Ah!  HERE it is!
Here’s [...]

Who's the "Hypocrite," Mr. Steele?

Who's the "Hypocrite," Mr. Steele?

GOP Chairman Michael Steele just called President Obama a “hypocrite” for sending his kids to a private school while coming out against vouchers in DC that would give tax money to parents who want to send THEIR kids to private schools.
While everyone with a working frontal lobe knows that this whole “vouchers” thing the GOP [...]

No One Can Tell ME Which Words are "Banned!"

No One Can Tell ME Which Words are "Banned!"

Lake Superior State University has issued its list of “banned words” for 2009.  Several questions immediately rise to the surface.
Is that an actual institute of higher education?  Shouldn’t a list like this come from a more prestigious university?  Like Harvard?  Yale?  Notre Dame?  Hamburger U.?
And secondly, who gets to DECIDE what a “banned word” is?  [...]

Limbaugh Declares Health Care "Fine and Dandy"

Limbaugh Declares Health Care "Fine and Dandy"

Sure is nice to see Rush Limbaugh looking all hale and hearty after his recent health scare.  It wasn’t a heart attack… in fact, they don’t know WHAT it was.  But El Rushbo emerged from his near death experience as full of himself as ever, declaring that the American health care system is just “fine [...]

I'm All Computered Up!

I'm All Computered Up!

Got myself a new HP G60-530US Notebook laptop.  Here are the improvements over the old one…
350GB Hard Drive (over 150GB)
Pentium Processor over Athlon
4GB RAM (instead of 2 GB)
Slight improvement in processing speed — 2.10 GHz instead of 1.90 GHz
So far, so good.  The thing is moving at blazing speeds!
Me likee!
Here’s the old one.

Welcome to Computer Hunt 2009

Welcome to Computer Hunt 2009

Hopefully, today’s the day I retire this old Compaq Presario F700 with its 1.90 GHz processing speed, it’s 2 GB of RAM, and its 150 GB hard drive space.
I originally had my heart set on getting a desktop computer for a variety of reasons.  More guts for the bucks, bigger keyboards for my Parkie fingies, [...]

Steele Ducks Debate on Reid's Slavery "Comparison"

Steele Ducks Debate on Reid's Slavery "Comparison"

We discussed this briefly already.  Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid made a tangental comparison between contemporary attitudes about slavery and today’s obstructionist Republican stance towards health care reform.
Instead of joining us on the right side of history, all the Republicans can come up with is, ’slow down, stop everything, let’s start over.’ If you think you’ve heard [...]

Tiger Faces Flood of Bimbos

Tiger Faces Flood of Bimbos

Bimbos are popping up all over!  One, a woman who denied having an affair with Tiger Woods will hold a news conference with her lawyer today, a day after the golfer apologized for his “transgressions.”  That lawyer?
Gloria Allred.  Shrill, feminist attorney, celebrity ambulance chaser, GLORIA ALLRED!
EEEEEEEEYAAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!!
Others are releasing tapes of Tiger speaking on their voice mail.
Methinks [...]

Tiger, Tiger… Tsk, Tsk!

Tiger, Tiger… Tsk, Tsk!

Oh, Tiger.  How you disappoint!  We all looked up to you, Tiger.  Even those of us who can’t stand golf and think you’re basically an arrogant jerk.  Even those of us who wonder how in the hell someone can make a bazillion bucks for hitting a little white ball into a hole and for having [...]

Beware the Recently-Yarded German Shepherd!

Beware the Recently-Yarded German Shepherd!

I was really exhausted last night.  That good kind of tired when bed feels like a soft, billowy cloud waiting to drift you off to happy sleepy-bye land!  I think I was out five minutes after my head hit the pillow.
Woke up once… saw that it was 4:45 am, scoffed at the idea of getting [...]

A Few Points About The Tiger Woods Thing

A Few Points About The Tiger Woods Thing

I’m not in the rumor mongering business. However, I do have a question for Tiger Woods.

Tiger, Tiger, Burning Bright,

Did You and Elin Have a Fight?

A few points, if I may, as a person who could care less about golf or celebrities.
